Despite the benefits it has brought about, AI has a chronic reputation for theoretical promise and practical disappointment. Last month, we took the first steps toward changing that narrative when hosting a Private AI Leadership Intensive in partnership with Cadre AI.

Cadre AI has established itself as a practical implementation partner for businesses looking to move beyond AI experiments to measurable results. With experience deploying over 140 AI systems across various industries, their team brings a refreshingly pragmatic approach to a field often clouded by hype.

Our relationship with Cadre AI emerged naturally from shared values–namely, the belief that technology should deliver tangible business outcomes rather than just generating buzz. This alignment made them the perfect partner for C3bank’s ongoing series of executive forums focused on practical business solutions.

Fifty Leaders, Three Frameworks, One Mission

In September 2024, 50 San Diego business leaders converged at our Encinitas headquarters for an evening dedicated to actionable AI implementation. Unlike typical technology showcases, this session focused exclusively on the executive perspective: how to evaluate, deploy, and measure AI initiatives from a business leadership position.

Attendance was intentionally capped to create an environment where meaningful connections could develop, with the diverse group including executives from healthcare, manufacturing, financial services, and technology sectors, all with a common goal of moving AI from experimental projects to core business strategy.

The session centered on three implementation frameworks that have proven successful across Cadre AI’s client base:

  • Building Revenue-Focused AI Roadmaps
Participants explored methodologies for creating AI strategies tied directly to revenue growth and operational efficiency. Rather than chasing technological novelty, this framework emphasized mapping initiatives to specific business outcomes with clear metrics for success. This approach resonated strongly with attendees who had previously struggled to connect AI investments to bottom-line impact.
  • Creating Organizational AI Command Centers
Even the most powerful AI tools falter without the right organizational structure. The Cadre team shared models for centralizing AI expertise while scaling adoption across departments–a balancing act that many organizations find challenging. This section addressed the practical realities of talent allocation, governance, and the critical balance between standardization and flexibility in AI implementation.
  • Deploying Function-Specific AI Solutions
The discussion highlighted proven applications with established ROI across various business functions. By focusing on documented success cases instead of the hypotheticals so often associated with AI, attendees gained a clearer perspective on practical starting points for their own organizations.

What’s Ahead for our Leadership Sessions

We’re happy to say that the success of this initial session has laid the groundwork for an ongoing collaboration between C3bank and Cadre AI, with our next session already in the planning stages. By bringing together business leaders around emerging technologies and implementation strategies, we hope to get that much closer to our goal: strengthening our business community and fostering connections among the wonderful entrepreneurs who have built it up.
